93+ Points – Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2016 Chardonnay Home Ranch has a wonderfully spicy nose of allspice, ginger and coriander seed over a core of honeydew melon, apricots and grapefruit with a hint of marzipan. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with spiced stone fruit flavors, followed up by plenty of freshness and finishing long and creamy. — Lisa Perrotti-Brown
89 Points – Wine Spectator
This offers pear and ripe apple flavors that are filled with buttery accents, featuring creamy notes on the finish, with hints of hazelnut. Drink now through 2022. 79 cases made. — Kim Marcus
91 Points – California Grapevine
Medium-light golden yellow; attractive, assertive, green apple aroma with tropical notes and hints of rose petal and lemon curd; medium to medium-full body; citrus, pear, and green apple flavors with bright acidity, spicy notes, and some richness in the slightly creamy mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste. Showed some elegance and complexity as it developed with airing in the glass. Very highly recommended. –Nick Ponomareff
An elegant and earthy wine. The aromatics mingle fragrant rose petals and citrus blossoms with crisp stone and subtle lemon. A vibrant entry and deliciously creamy texture. This wine expands with notes of Bartlett pears, velvety lemon curd and crème cookies. Ample and full-bodied, unmistakably Carneros with refreshing acidity and complex flavors.

THE 2016 VINTAGE
The 2016 growing season was welcomed with abundant and consistent winter rainfalls to replenish the earth and provide ample supply of water. Bud break arrived slightly early followed by April showers. As warmer days arrived, the vines thrived in steady and mild summer temperatures. Our vineyards bask in the generous daytime sunlight and a predominantly maritime influence of the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay which brings cool temperate fog and afternoon breeze. These moderate growing conditions promote long and even ripening with natural acidity balance and full, complex flavor maturity. Our farming approach is low-impact, and in harmony with Mother Nature. Harvest begins in the early morning hours during the coolest part of the day; with yields below average for this vintage.
