Honest Farming. Artisan Winemaking.
Drawing from our family history rooted deeply in farming and a genuine passion for grape growing, our wines showcase the very best of Sangiacomo Estate Vineyards in Carneros, Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast. For over 50 years we have been committed to growing some of the finest grapes in Sonoma County, and now we are proud to introduce a series of wines that showcase our own artistic expression of our vineyards. We are creating legacy – an unwavering commitment and pursuit to learn, grow and build value for the next generation.
For the 2016 harvest, six different vineyard sites were chosen for their unique terroir, microclimate and vine heritage. Our wines each tell a story; a history book of iconic vineyards, terroir and clonal selections. And in partnership with our winemaker James MacPhail, our artisanal approach begins with an uncompromising pursuit to create intense and balanced wines that best express our vineyards.
We farm over 1600 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in fifteen different vineyards located in four American Viticultural Areas (AVAs): Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap and Sonoma Valley. While the majority of our vineyards are near our home in Sonoma, we are proud to also extend our vineyard expertise to Napa Valley, at our Oakview Vineyard located in the Oakville District.
Sangiacomo Family Wines are available on a limited basis and offered first to members of our mailing list. If you would like to receive an offer to purchase our inaugural release of wines, please click here to join our mailing list and create an account. The 2016 vintage is our inaugural release. Making great wine is a new tradition for our family, and it’s our great pleasure to share these wines with you.
Sonoma Coast Appellation Series
These limited signature appellation bottlings offer a hallmark style of balance and power, capturing the soul of a region and are crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
Single Vineyard Designates
Our family crafts small lots from our estate vineyards. Available in very small amounts, these wines showcase the extraordinary individual character of our single vineyard sites.
The ViMaria Pinot Noir pays homage to our family legacy and the two people that started it all. In 1927, our grandparents, Vittorio & Maria Sangiacomo purchased a 52-acre fruit tree ranch in the Sonoma Valley. Every year our winemaker selects a few special barrels from the estate vineyards, and carefully blends this exceptional wine. Salute!
